As the project continued, I was amazed at how some students really took to the assignment. The students were creating original conversations using Web 2.0 tools. They even went beyond expectations by creating new scenes, conversations and characters. Web 2.0 tools such as Microsoft Forms and Excel Survey also greatly enhanced the lesson by allowed the students to submit their assignments online and create an online teacher help ticket. The inclusion of voice narration and links to additional assistive technology tools really helped to accommodate students who may need additional assistance. The project allowed students that were not normally engaged in instruction to really produce some quality work.
There were several technical issues while completing the assignment. Some students managed to break their microphones, several forgot their passwords and some had difficulty with access from home. These situations were taken care by offering replacement headsets to extending the hours availability of the computer lab.
